Partners Matthew Constantino and Stuart Home successfully defended our client, a property management company, and beat our client's 998 Offer following a contentious 3.5 week jury trial in Sacramento. The case involved claims of negligence and breach of contract arising from our client's oversight of renovations of a 102-unit apartment complex in Carmichael. Prior to trial, our client submitted a 998 Offer to the owners in the amount of $500,001.00. The owners sought $1,187,847.59 at trial. The jury returned a verdict awarding the owners only $104,145.44. As such, our client beat its 998 Offer, entitling it to post-998 Offer costs.
