Brion Berkley
Brion M. Berkley
Brion Berkley works on construction law and construction defect matters for the firm. Representing developers, general contractors, subcontractors, property owners, and commercial tenants throughout California. He has years of litigation experience and has conducted several trials, primarily in Monterey and Santa Cruz Superior Courts.
Brion became a duly licensed California Attorney in February 2018, after graduating from Monterey College of Law in 2017. He began his legal career by doing transactional property matters, first as a paralegal then as an attorney.
Brion opened a solo practice in 2020, with a focus on property law matters. He also assisted other attorneys as a consultant and at times as an expert witness in construction related matters due to his background in the Construction industry.
Brion has hands on experience in the construction industry. In 2005 he passed the California Contractors State License Board exam and became a General Building licensed contractor working both on commercial and residential projects throughout the Bay area.
Now, no longer working as contractor Brion has stayed involved with the construction industry. He is an adjunct professor of construction law at Cabrillo College in Aptos, California. He also teaches a crash course once a month to new contractors at Contractors State License Schools in San Jose. Formerly, he worked at Hartnell College in Salinas, teaching Construction Law, Construction Accounting, Building Codes, and Construction Materials & Methods.
Brion also taught Mediation Classes at Monterey College of Law. After having worked as a court mediator during law school for the Mandell Gisnet Center, which supplied mediators for Monterey Superior Court.
